FII Trading activities in Cash

FII trading activity on NSE and BSE in Capital Market Segment(In Rs. Crores)

morning session. The markets managed to trade in the green in the afternoon session but slipped lower in the late session closing the day on a weak note. Among the sectoral indices Healthcare & Auto lost almost 1% while Consumer Durables gained more than 3%. In the Sensex stocks Axis Bank (1.35%), Bajaj Auto (0.64%) & TCS (0.50%) were among the gainers while M&M (2.87%), Tata Power (2.74%) and Hindalco (2.18%) were among the losers. The Sensex lost 96 points or 0.38% to close at 25,106 and the Nifty lost 29 points or 0.39% to close at 7,511.

Total traded turnover stood at Rs 227,654 cr. In equities FIIs were net sellers (Rs 221 cr) while  DIIs were net buyers (Rs 74 cr). On the derivatives side, FIIs were net buyers in Index Futures (Rs 41 cr) Index Options (Rs 299 cr) Stock Futures (Rs 99 cr) while they were net sellers in Stock Options (Rs 201 cr).

The US markets edged higher on light volumes amid absence of any triggers and as investors watch-out for some key data due to be released in the week ahead. The Dow Jones gained 26 points or 0.15% to close at 16,947 while the NASDAQ gained 9 points or 0.20% to close at 4,368.

The Asian markets are currently trading higher. Nikkei is trading higher by 0.36% while Hang Seng is trading higher by 0.40%.

l   J Kumar Infraprojects has bagged 500-bed hospital and medical college project orders worth Rs 700 cr for building Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital and Medical College at Alwar in Rajasthan.
